A Note from our Lactation Counselor

Congratulations on your new baby! Caring for your newborn can be quite an adventure. Through the years I have seen both the nutritional and emotional advantages of breast-feeding your baby. For those of you who choose to breastfeed, I would like to help you along.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have been in the nursing field for over 30 years and my favorite years were those spent working in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum and the Newborn Nursery. For three years, I served as the Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program director in Tahoe, California.

I have been fortunate to work with the Doctores and Staff of Glendale Pediatrics for the past several years. We have developed a Lactation Center within our practice to help support the needs of new moms.

Pumps

Our Lactation center carries a wide variety of pumps, some of which are not available in stores. Pumps we carry include Lactina, Symphony, Limited Edition, Metro advanced, and the "Swing" Pump — the latest in small electric pumps, with a 2-phase expression.

In addition to the above, we offer Medela Hospital grage pumps for rent.

Specialty feeding devices

We carry specialty feeding devices for the babe that needs that extra help: nipple shields, baby cup feeders, softfeeder, SNS and more.
